Event - ODFW Kids day at Mt. Hood College pond

The ODFW is asking for Sandy River Chapter's help again this year at the Mt Hood College pond.  It is a great importunity to pass your fishing skills on to kids who haven't had the importunity do do much fishing.

The event is Saturday May 18 at the Mt Hood Community College Pond. The actual hours are from 9 am to 2 pm so I’ll be there with the angling education trailer at 8:30 for set-up, then we’ll begin breaking down at 2, and usually out of there by 2:30. I’m looking for help with set-up, registration of participants, rigging up rods and reels, untangling gear, distributing bait, and helping kids fish. ODFW will be stocking the pond heavily with trout just prior to the event so plenty of fish should be hooked and landed. I will provide donuts, pastry, coffee and juice in the morning and sandwich fixings, potato salad, chips and drinks for those who stay into the afternoon.
