John Williams from Rainbow’s End Tackle in Vancouver was diagnosed with a terminal disease. As a result, volunteers from the Sandy and Tualatin Chapters helped his staff breakdown the stores shelving and pegboard to empty the space. We also agreed to buy the remaining inventory and sell it to the active membership.
One of the benefits of ANWS membership is the ability to participate in opportunities like this, which are not offered to the general public. We are checking membership at the door and are serious about this being a ‘Current Members Only’ opportunity.
This is fishing tackle only, no rods or reels. We also put a reasonable limit on several items to keep individuals from buying all of an item & then putting it on e-bay. We also put incentives on some items to encourage you to ‘buy 10 & get 1 free’. Just some of the items for sale will be many brands and sizes of spinners and hooks, swivels, scents, jig powder-coat paint and all sorts of fishing line. Many terminal tackle items will also be available.
The Sale is on December 5th from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again at 8:15 pm to 8:45 pm. This gives you a window of an hour before the meeting and a half hour after to participate.
Most of the merchandise we bought is current products, factory packaged items offered at between 50% and 75% off original pricing. We priced items at from $0.50 to $5.00 with color coded dots and priced other items with ‘Sandy River Chapter’ sticker from $3.00 to $20.00.
We will have plastic bags for your purchases, but you are welcome to bring your own bag (preferably large), along with cash or check, no Credit Cards please.
